Lubbers
Flight &
Arrival Information
Navigate
Beach Lubbers:

There are scheduled
flights to Marsh Harbour International Airport
from Miami, West
Palm Beach, Ft. Lauderdale, Orlando, Daytona Beach, Melbourne and
Nassau. The airport also serves private aircraft and numerous
small charter airlines. Proof of citizenship is required with a
passport.
Effective January 1st, 2007, a passport is required by the U.S.
Government for travel to the Bahamas.
When you arrive, taxis are
available at the airport to take you to your boat rental. On the way
there, they will stop & wait for you to go in the grocery and/or liquor
store (please have your list ready). There is usually a small
additional charge for this. There are
no stores on Lubbers Quarters so it is easiest to purchase these
supplies while you are in Marsh Harbour. Hopetown, a 10 minute boat
ride from Lubbers, has both grocery & liquor stores but the selection is
not as good. All stores are closed on Sunday. It is OK with the
Bahamians to bring a cooler with steaks or other dinner meats, lunch
meats & cheese, & frozen vegetables, but they do not allow you to bring
in any fresh fruits or vegetables. Cigarettes and liquor have per
person limitations on them. Be sure to check with your airline for
their regulations on bringing coolers.
It is important that you
reserve your boat at the same time you get your plane tickets and
reserve the house. When you get to your boat rental they will give you
directions to our dock. There is a sign with our name on it.
Please call our caretaker by VHF Radio to let him know you are on your way
and he will meet you at the dock. When you make your reservations, we
will send you additional information regarding this.
